4-Days Budget Wildlife and Culture Safari in Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative from Mnava Tours & Safari and transferred to your hotel in Arusha.

After checking in, enjoy some time to relax after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the surrounding area or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of your accommodation.

In the evening, your safari guide will provide a briefing about the upcoming adventure, explain the itinerary, and answer any questions you may have.

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park for an exciting wildlife safari. The journey takes you through beautiful Tanzanian countryside before reaching a park renowned for its enormous elephant herds, impressive baobab trees, and diverse landscapes.

Enjoy a game drive across the park in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and various antelope species. With luck, you may also encounter lions, leopards, or cheetahs. Tarangire’s river attracts wildlife throughout the year, providing excellent opportunities for photography and animal observation.

A picnic lunch will be served during the safari, followed by an afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Start the day with an early breakfast before travelling to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive across its diverse habitats, including grasslands, woodland, wetlands, and lakes.

The crater is one of Tanzania’s most remarkable wildlife destinations and offers opportunities to spot elephants, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, and lions. With some luck, you may also see the endangered black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated area before continuing your exploration of the crater floor. In the afternoon, ascend the crater and return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, travel towards Materuni Village near Moshi, on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. This traditional Chagga village offers a wonderful opportunity to discover local customs, village life, and the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside.

Accompanied by a local guide, take a scenic walk through lush vegetation to Materuni Waterfalls, where water cascades down a dramatic rock face into a natural pool. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and, when conditions permit, take a refreshing dip.

Return to the village to experience a traditional Chagga lunch and learn about local food and customs. Continue with a hands-on coffee tour, discovering how locally grown coffee is harvested, dried, roasted, and prepared. You may also participate in traditional coffee grinding accompanied by local songs and dances.

After this rewarding combination of nature and culture, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport or your agreed drop-off point.
