These Terms & Conditions explain the basis on which Mnava Tours and Safaris provides website information, safari quotations and travel services. Please read them together with the specific written quotation, itinerary and booking confirmation provided for your trip.
The current Mnava website does not define a fixed deposit percentage, final-payment deadline, cancellation-fee schedule, refund percentage or amendment fee. Those items are therefore not invented here. Any trip-specific commercial terms must be stated in the written quotation/booking confirmation, and Mnava should have the commercial, liability and governing-law clauses professionally reviewed before relying on them.
1. Introduction
These Terms apply to your use of the Mnava Tours and Safaris website and, where relevant, to safari and travel services that you arrange with Mnava. An enquiry submitted through the website is a request for information or a quotation; it is not by itself a confirmed booking.
For a specific trip, the written quotation, itinerary, invoice and booking confirmation supplied by Mnava may contain additional or more specific terms. If there is a conflict, the trip-specific written terms agreed with you should be reviewed to determine which provision applies.
2. Booking Process
You may request a safari through Design Your Safari, a Tour enquiry form, email, phone or WhatsApp. Mnava may ask for additional information needed to prepare or confirm the trip. A proposed itinerary remains subject to availability until Mnava confirms the relevant services in writing.
3. Prices and Quotations
Where the website shows a “from”, starting or per-person price, it is an indication based on the Tour information currently stored on the website and may not be the final price for your trip. A final quotation can depend on travel dates, group size, accommodation, routing, park fees, flights, activities, currency and supplier availability.
Mnava should not change a confirmed price arbitrarily. Any change after confirmation should be connected to an agreed client change, a clearly identified supplier/government charge, exchange-rate treatment stated in the booking terms, or another basis explained to the client.
4. Deposits and Payments
The current website does not publish a standard deposit percentage or final-payment deadline. If a deposit, staged payment, balance date, accepted currency or payment method applies to your trip, Mnava will state it in the quotation, invoice or booking confirmation before payment is due.
Do not send card details through the website enquiry forms. Follow the payment instructions supplied by Mnava or the relevant payment provider.
5. Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only when Mnava has issued written confirmation and any payment or other booking condition stated in your trip-specific documents has been satisfied. Until then, quoted accommodation, transport, activities and other services may remain subject to availability.
6. Changes Requested by the Client
If you ask to change dates, accommodation, routing, activities, traveller numbers or other confirmed services, Mnava will try to assist. Changes can depend on availability and may affect the price or supplier terms. Any additional cost or amendment condition should be communicated before the change is confirmed.
7. Changes by Mnava / Suppliers
Mnava may sometimes need to propose a reasonable change because of supplier availability, park or road conditions, flight changes, weather, safety concerns or other operational circumstances. Where a material confirmed service changes, Mnava will seek to provide a reasonable alternative where practicable and explain significant cost implications.
8. Cancellations by the Client
The current website does not define a universal cancellation-fee schedule. Any cancellation notice requirements, supplier charges, non-refundable items or cancellation fees applicable to your trip must be stated in the written quotation/booking confirmation or otherwise agreed with you before the booking is confirmed.
If you need to cancel, contact Mnava as soon as possible in writing so the applicable supplier and booking conditions can be assessed.
9. Cancellations by Mnava
If Mnava must cancel services it has confirmed, Mnava will explain the reason and, where reasonably possible, discuss an alternative arrangement, credit or refund treatment consistent with the circumstances, applicable law and recoverable supplier amounts. This clause does not create a guaranteed refund where funds are lawfully non-recoverable from suppliers or where another trip-specific term applies.
10. Refunds
No fixed refund percentage is published in the current website system. Refund eligibility and timing depend on the reason for cancellation, the trip-specific booking terms, amounts already paid to suppliers, supplier refund rules and applicable law. Mnava should communicate any approved refund calculation clearly.
11. Travel Insurance
Safari and international travel can be affected by cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation needs, lost baggage and travel delays. Mnava strongly recommends that travellers obtain suitable travel insurance for their circumstances and check the policy terms, exclusions and coverage limits before travel.
This website does not state that travel insurance is universally required by law. If insurance is mandatory for a particular service, activity or booking, that requirement should be communicated separately.
12. Passports, Visas and Entry Requirements
Travellers are responsible for ensuring that they hold valid passports, visas, permits and other travel documents required for their nationality and itinerary. Entry requirements can change. Mnava may provide general travel information, but travellers should verify current requirements with the relevant government or official authority and should not rely on Mnava as a guarantee of visa approval.
13. Health and Medical Requirements
Travellers are responsible for considering their health, fitness and any vaccination or medical requirements relevant to the destination and activities booked. Seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional for personal medical decisions. Tell Mnava about accessibility or health-related needs that may materially affect the safe delivery of requested services, where appropriate and before travel.
14. Safari and Wildlife Risks
Safari and adventure travel may involve wildlife, remote areas, rough roads, outdoor activities, changing weather and locations that are some distance from medical facilities. Travellers should follow reasonable safety instructions from guides, accommodation providers, park authorities and activity operators.
Wildlife is not staged or controlled. Mnava cannot guarantee sightings of particular animals, Great Migration river crossings, exact wildlife locations or specific weather conditions.
15. Accommodation and Third-Party Suppliers
Safaris commonly involve independent lodges, camps, airlines, transfer companies, activity providers, park authorities and other suppliers. Mnava coordinates these services as part of the agreed itinerary, but individual suppliers may also apply reasonable operating rules and terms to the services they provide.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove a responsibility that Mnava cannot lawfully exclude. Supplier-related issues will be handled according to the circumstances, the relevant contract and applicable law.
16. Transportation
Road transfers, safari vehicles, domestic flights and other transport can be affected by road conditions, weather, traffic, air schedules, maintenance and operational requirements. Timings may therefore be estimates. Travellers should allow reasonable flexibility and follow baggage or check-in rules communicated for the relevant service.
17. Itinerary Changes
Tanzania itineraries can require reasonable adjustment because of weather, road or park conditions, wildlife movements, supplier availability, flight changes or safety considerations. Mnava will aim to preserve the overall purpose and quality of the trip when changes are necessary, but cannot guarantee that every day will operate exactly as originally described.
18. Force Majeure
Neither party should be treated as responsible for a failure to perform an obligation to the extent it is caused by an event genuinely beyond reasonable control, such as extreme weather, natural disaster, government action, civil disruption, epidemic or pandemic, strike, border closure or similar major event. The parties should communicate promptly and take reasonable steps to reduce avoidable loss where practicable.
The financial effect of a force-majeure event can depend on recoverable supplier payments, applicable law and the trip-specific booking terms. Legal review of this clause is recommended before reliance.
19. Client Conduct
Travellers must behave lawfully and with reasonable regard for guides, staff, local communities, other guests, wildlife and property. Mnava or a supplier may take proportionate action where conduct creates a genuine safety risk, seriously disrupts services or violates applicable laws or park rules.
20. Luggage and Personal Property
Travellers remain responsible for passports, money, electronics, baggage and other personal property unless applicable law or a specific service agreement provides otherwise. Airlines and other transport suppliers may impose baggage restrictions that differ from international flight allowances.
21. Complaints
If a problem arises during a trip, tell the Mnava guide or team as soon as reasonably possible so there is an opportunity to address it. If the issue is not resolved, send a clear written description to info@mnavatourandsafaris.com with relevant booking details and supporting information.
22. Website Content
Mnava aims to keep website information useful and accurate, but travel details, prices, availability, park information and supplier offerings can change. Website content is general information and does not replace the specific quotation and confirmation issued for an individual booking.
23. Intellectual Property
Original Mnava text, branding, design, photographs owned or licensed by Mnava, and protectable itinerary materials may not be copied or commercially reused without permission except where the law permits. Mnava does not claim ownership of third-party material that belongs to its respective owner.
24. Limitation of Liability
Mnava will use reasonable care in arranging and providing the services it agrees to supply. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Mnava is not responsible for loss caused solely by a traveller’s own acts, an unrelated third party, or extraordinary events beyond reasonable control. Any limitation must be applied consistently with applicable consumer, contract and other mandatory legal protections.
This clause is intentionally not drafted as an absolute waiver of every responsibility. Qualified legal review is recommended before Mnava relies on it.
25. Governing Law
Mnava operates from Tanzania, and these Terms are intended to be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Tanzania, subject to any mandatory legal protections or jurisdiction rules that apply to a particular customer or dispute.
Legal review recommended before publication/reliance: Mnava should confirm its exact legal entity/registration details and the appropriate court, forum or dispute-resolution wording with a qualified Tanzanian lawyer before treating this clause as final.
26. Changes to These Terms
Mnava may update these Terms when its services, website, commercial policies or legal requirements change. Changes apply prospectively unless the parties agree otherwise or applicable law requires another result. The page’s “Last updated” date reflects the WordPress modification date.
